From October 15-22, free coding workshops will be organized for children and youth aged 8 to 24 across UNHCR Camps, community centres and universities in 9 host and transit countries. Refugee Code Week has partnered with ReBootKamp (RBK) to turn literacy into expertise, and expertise into employment for young refugees. The successful launch of RBK’s first 16-week coding camp of which 50% were refugees and 50% Jordanians, graduated with a competitive edge resulting in near 100% job placement. A second RBK boot camp will open up in Istanbul this year.
